Abstract

Existing multi-view enterprise-modeling methodologies have been utilized for the modeling and integration of a single company or within an enterprise, but they do not specifically address the techniques for inter-enterprise modeling and integration. This paper presents the function, information, dynamics, and organization (FIDO) multi-view enterprise-modeling methodology developed to support the understanding, analysis, and design of business processes aligned with information systems for inter-enterprise integration between companies as well as for a single company. The FIDO methodology includes an integrated modeling framework and a suite of modeling techniques for enterprise modeling. We present the application of the FIDO methodology to analyze the interactions and to establish the supply-chain process integration between primes and subs in the defense electronics industry.
