Abstract

A report on the synthesis, characterization and modelling of high quality ferromagnetic Cr-doped AlN thin films was presented. The room temperature ferromagnetism was also observed with a coercive field, Hc, of 120 Oe. By measuring the magnetic susceptibility of Cr, it was observed that over 33% of the Cr was magnetically active at room temperature and 40% at low temperature.
