Supply and demands of information technology workers

Abstract

Today, there is apparent shortage of IT workers. On-going discussions in industry, governments and academia are aimed at solving this problem, in particular the supply and demands of IT workers. An overview is given on potential IT workers, efforts being undertaken by educational institutions as well as companies to increase the supply of IT workers, and possible solutions to overcome the shortage of IT workers.
