title = "Schmitt neurological sciences symposium: The cytoskeleton in Alzheimer's disease",
author = "Utal, {A. K.} and Coleman, {P. D.}",
note = "Funding Information: THE FOCUS OF this exciting 3-day symposium (May 21-23, 1994 in Rochester, NY) was on the neuronal cytoskeleton and its relevance to Alzheimer's Disease, particularly the manifestation of cytoskeletal pathology in the disease. This was the first meeting devoted to examining the role that the neuronal cytoskeleton may play in Alzheimer's Disease, and brought together researchers from diverse backgrounds, from lipid and protein biochemistry and biophysics to classical neurobiology. There were 40 plenary lectures and 35 posters, and approximately 140 participants. Financial support for the meeting came largely from the Kilian J. and Caroline F. Schmitt Foundation, with additional support from the Alzheimer's Disease Association, the American Health Assistance Foundation and 6 pharmaceutical companies.",
