Abstract

In this paper, a flexible reconfigurable antenna mounted on curved cylindrical configurations is presented. The proposed design is based on a folded slot antenna printed on a flexible Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) substrate. One PIN-diode is incorporated to the antenna surface to make it reconfigurable in terms of its resonant frequencies and polarizations. The impact of curved cylindrical geometries, such as circumferential and axial configurations, on the antenna radiation characteristics is discussed.
