Abstract

Low temperature magneto-transport has been studied in ballistic corrugation gated wires. We have observed many resistance peaks overlapped with a large negative magneto-resistance in the double-corrugation wire at the low field magneto-resistance. Those peaks can be considered to arise from a coherent or an incoherent back scattering of the electron waves. It is found that such a coherent back scattering leads to a ballistic weak localization or an electron focusing of the collimated electron waves.
