Abstract

An axially modulated metasurface leaky-wave antenna (AMLWA), with multiple dielectric layers, is proposed for conformal and wideband applications. The bandwidth performance of a single-layered AMLWA is compared to that of a three-layered and a five-layered AMLWA. It is shown that the bandwidth of the gain and the scan-angle range increase with the increase in the number of dielectric layers.
