Abstract
As combined cycle plants have emerged as a major component of the in-service capacity of several large national grids, both the requirements have emerged for demanding testing of their dynamic response capabilities and the opportunity to advance the modeling of these plants on the basis of the test result. The modeling of these plants have a level of complexity far greater than that of the previous generation of standardized turbine control models that were widely used in grid simulations. Accordingly the models presented were implemented with built in parameter values that provide a fair representation of the class of plants.
