Abstract

We investigate backscattering peaks in the low-field magnetoresistance and their microwave-induced changes ΔR in open quantum dots on AlGaAs/GaAs heterostructures. The results are discussed within a classical trajectory model, which assumes a parabolic confinement potential of the dot. We associate the existence of a strong frequency dependence of ΔR around 30 GHz with discrete energy levels within the dot.
