Abstract

The mass spectra and generalized fragmentation patterns corresponding to a number of 6-substituted ureidopurines and N6-acyladenines have been presented. The relationship between the mass spectra of two classes of tRNA components and cytokinins, the 6-alkylureidopurines and N6-alkyladenines, are discussed with respect to the structurally related N6-acyladenines. Methods are given for extrapolation of the data presented here for the identification of new, naturally occurring components.
