Abstract
Faced with an ever-increasing number of students needing an introduction to academic library research skills, librarians are looking for alternative approaches to instruction. Rather than teaching each student, a scalable approach, which is accurate and informative, is needed. Taking into account the attributes of the "millennial generation" of current students, this approach should also provide information in an engaging and interactive way.The board game created by Fletcher Library of ASU will provide an ideal solution. It isScalable - It can be administered by anyone, including non-librarians.Accurate - It was created by librarians.Informative - It incorporates information about many types of library research.Interactive - Students are faced with choices.Engaging - It's a game!
