Abstract

A control scheme was proposed to ensure active voltage sharing and load current sharing of 'n' identical dc-dc convertors, connected in series at the input and parallel at the output. Input voltage sharing and output current sharing were achieved by applying a common duty ratio signal to input series, output parallel-connected convertors. A model of the scheme that predicted the dynamic voltage sharing among the convertors was developed. Simulation and experimental results validated the proposed control concept.
