Abstract

A new cement plant with the double-line production capacity of two million tons per year was constructed at Rashadiya, Jordan, with all guarantee tests for the principal process units completed in August, 1984. The DD (Dual combustion and Denitration) process as a suspension preheater system with precalciner, and a vertical roller mill for raw material grinding and drying were employed, representing the most advanced energy-saving technology.
