UIA - Carnegie: University Innovation Alliance UIA - National Education Program at Carnegie Corporation of New York This proposal will support s commitment to advancing policies and practices that help young people enter, succeed in, and complete their postsecondary education. UIA strategies align with CCNYs prioritization of strategies that support low-income students, students of color, and first-generation college-going students, with the goal of making college for all a meaningful reality. Furthermore, the UIAs work directly addresses Carnegies major goal to advance the effectiveness of the field through improved learning, continuous improvement and knowledge generation, management, and dissemination. The UIAs organizational structure embraces these goals in its organizational design, which brings presidents at member institutions together to ideate, collaborate, and share successes and challenges, with extensive support from UIA liaisons and fellows. UIA convenings disseminate successful innovations, inspiring campus teams at other member institutions to transplant them. Never before has so much intellectual power been brought to bear on such a vexing challenge for higher education.
