Ecosystem-based Fisheries Management Thresholds for Hawaii Nearshore Fisheries Ecosystem-based Fisheries Management Thresholds for Hawaii Nearshore Fisheries There are four objectives that follow a process used by the California Current IEA and Pacific Fisheries Management Council where indicator-based ecosystem management has been successfully implemented since 2012. These are (1) clarifying focus and identifying data, (2) screening for potential non-linear relationships, (3) identifying non-linear functional form, and (4) estimating threshold levels of pressures including sensitivity analyses. We will coordinate with the Council and State of Hawaii throughout the contract period to determine the final analysis approach, obtain data necessary for the analysis, discuss preliminary results, and coordinate presentations as appropriate.
