Distributed Traffic Monitoring and Prediction with Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communications (UTCP YR2) National Center for Transportation and Economic Competitiveness for a Secure Future Subcontract Scope of Work Date: March 5, 2013 1. Subcontractor Information Institution Name: Arizona State University City/State: Tempe, Arizona Initial Period of Performance: October 1, 2013 to September 30, 2014 The period of performance may be extended to September 30, 2017 depending on the renewal status of the prime contract between University of Maryland and US DOT RITA. Subcontractor Scope Work The prime contractor hereafter refers to University of Maryland. The subcontractor refers to the institution identified above. The subcontractor will conduct the following research, education, outreach, and technology transfer activities: a. Complete research projects on time individually or collaboratively with other consortium universities as outlined in Section 2a of the prime contractors proposal to USDOT RITA. b. Complete education and workforce development projects on time individually or collaboratively with other consortium universities as outlined in Section 2c of the prime contractors proposal to USDOT RITA. 2 c. Complete technology transfer projects on time individually or collaboratively with other consortium universities as outlined in Section 2d of the prime contractors proposal to USDOT RITA. d. Support the prime contractor in other collaborative center activities as outlined in Section 2e of the prime contractors proposal to USDOT RITA. e. Provide inputs requested by the prime contractor and assist the prime contractor in tracking various center activities and their performances to ensure program efficiency as outlined in Section 2f of the prime contractors proposal to USDOT RITA. 3. Subcontract Proposal Submission Checklist Please submit the following materials in PDF format to Jill Frankenfield (jfranken@umd.edu) and copy Stephanie Peters (speters@umd.edu) and Lei Zhang (lei@umd.edu) at University of Maryland by 5pm EDT on Monday, March 11, 2013. a. Signed cover letter from your university research office; b. Approved detailed itemized budget sheet; c. Completed subcontract scope of work (first page of this document); d. Letter(s) of matching support from respective agency (agencies); e. A legible copy of your institutions most recent negotiated overhead rates and fringe benefits rates, including the name and telephone number of the federal audit agency representative. In addition, the prime contractor may request additional materials for the proposal with deadlines specified in the information requests between now and March 14, 2013.
