Description

Co-Creating Water Sanitation Courses and Providing Immersive Collaborative E-Team Learning Opportunities for ASU and IIT Delhi students Co-Creating Water & Sanitation Courses and Providing Immersive & Collaborative E-Team Learning Opportunities for ASU and IIT Delhi students The goal of this proposal is to co-create curriculum on Global Water & Sanitation Solutions at both Arizona State University Polytechnic Campus and Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India. As part of the course, students at both ASU and IIT Delhi would get an opportunity to get immersive experiences to connect to unreached communities without adequate water and sanitation access. At ASU, GlobalResolve offers a minor in Social Entrepreneurship. ASU Engineering is adding a concentration in the Engineering program in Civil Global Development that will include technology development courses including water and sanitation. The Centre for Rural Development and Technology at IIT Delhi has been working to increase the basket of available courses on offer in the area of water, waste and sanitation. This proposal offers an opportunity for ASU and IIT Delhi to co-create WATSAN courses. GlobalResolve has been working with unreached communities in several countries including India and Ghana to develop and disseminate safe drinking water and innovative sanitation solutions, but with little in terms of courses and curriculum. ASU Polytechnic now has a strong collaboration with the Centre for Rural Development and Technology, IIT Delhi, to co-create a WATSAN course to develop cost-effective solutions in the water and sanitation space.
