Characterization of Mechanical and Thermo-physical Properties of Polymer Matrix Composites Characterization of Mechanical and Thermo-physical Properties of Polymer Matrix Composites Objective: To gain an understanding of the fundamental mechanical properties of the fiber reinforced polymer matrix composite samples. The fibers are continuous and will be woven or unidirectional. The woven laminas will consist of one ply. The unidirectional laminas will consist of 2 to 4 plies. will provide 15 in. x 15 in. sheets of the material. Number of different composite samples: 24 1.
