AIMS Core Project: 2012 PWR (Pratt Whitney Rocketdyne) Consortium Project PWR Consortium Project 2012 (Pratt Whitney & Rocketdyne) Research will be conducted in the areas of damage detection and investigation of composite materials. Specifically the research will focus on sensor and transducer based damage detection in multiple material systems. Non destructive evaluation (NDE) and structural health monitoring (SHM) approaches will be used to address critical damage state in composites, such as delamination. The output of this research will contribute to the fundamental understanding of damage in composite materials and their applications.
