Abstract

A new set of compactly supported wavelets has been employed. These wavelets are biorthogonal with respect to a weighted inner product and are used as basis functions in the method of moments for scattering problems. An electric field integral equation (EFIE) is considered as a sample problem. The matrix obtained by the proposed wavelet expansion is rendered sparsely populated.
