Abstract

Homogeneous glasses in the As-Sb-Se system were isothermally heat treated to form glass ceramic composites in which a conductive crystalline phase composed mainly of a solid solution of Sb//2Se//3-As//2Se//3 was dispersed in an insulating matrix of Se rich glass. The microstructures and the crystallization properties of the glasses after a two stage heat treatment process were examined using x-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, and differential scanning calorimetry.
