Abstract
GRD will provide private, commercial and industrial property with a low-cost geothermal system that delivers the same heating and cooling performance as standard vertical or horizontal ground-source heat exchanger methods. There are two target groups to consider, existing and new-build properties. In Germany, for example, the existing potential is now four times larger than that of new build, and there is perhaps a similar situation in the UK. Therefore, GRD is a highly interesting alternative to existing technologies in terms of thermodynamic design, economical heat extraction, drilling performance and the best possible profit.
