Abstract
This paper presents an approximate, but practical, uncertainty analysis method by using first-order analysis of uncertainty to estimate the mean and variance of the unsaturated hydraulic conductivity. Different levels of the parameter uncertainties were examined to determine that all the parameters in the water retention equation have significant contributions to the uncertainty of the unsaturated hydraulic conductivity.
