Abstract

A block diagram of a wireless system where the antenna properties are absorbed into the channel is given. Unfortunately for those interested in accurately describing the effect of the antenna's characteristics on wireless communications systems, neither of these descriptions of the antenna is adequate. This paper proposes a new model for the antenna as a two-port system.
