Abstract

In the mid-1960s my father enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served honorably for three years. After completing his term of service he attended and graduated from college, enrolling in an officer training school afterward. It was at this time that he began his career as a military professional, serving in the capacity of commissioned officer. He would serve 33 years as a hospital administrator for the United States Navy.
