TOWARDS AN INTRINSIC MEASURE OF PROGRAM LOCALITY.

Abstract

A scheme for measuring the locality of a program directly from an analysis of a reference string is proposed. The underlying principles of the measure are discussed and validation experiments are described. The results obtained indicate that the direction taken is promising and warrants further study.
