Abstract

A deeper understanding of JIT was achieved through comparison between logistics managers and manufacturing managers. It was shown that there are significant differences concerning the components of JIT and results of JIT programs. Additionally, there were several significant similarities found that can be used as a bridge to connect the different functions to better provide a continuous improvement system for the entire logistics channel.
