Abstract
The fundamental problem of how a nonlinear coupling of the solute to the solvent affects time-resolved spectral line shapes and observable spectral moments is addressed. In particular, an exact solution for the time-dependent time-resolved fluorescence (TRF) line shape is given. This solution allows to analyze approximations commonly adopted in the theoretical analysis of transient spectra.
