Abstract

Enthalpies of solution (DELTA H soln) of natural (low) and heat-treated (high) samples were measured in Pb2B2O5 flux at approx 700oC. The high-T series show distinct (DELTA H soln) trends for C1 and I1 structures, while the low-T series show separate trends for 'e' and I1 structures. Enthalpies of ordering are significant at all compositions and are of the order of 2 kcal/mol.-C.M.B.H.
