Abstract
Oxide glasses had receive a great deal of attention on the last couple of years because of their potentially high cationic transport. Interesting features have been found on Li 2O-V 2O 5-TeO 2 glassy system. Such materials were prepared under open air at 800°C and traditional quenching. Glass formation was been found up to 45% alkali concentration on the V 2O 5-TeO 2 binary system. Upon addition of Li 2O the glass transition temperature lowered systematically up to values near 175°C. Structural correlation between glass transition and structure are made. Those materials show high promise as electrolytes for solid-state batteries applications.
