Abstract
Numerous band systems in the visible spectral region of a supersonic molecular beam sample were detected using medium-resolution laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy. Three of the intense band systems were recorded at high resolution and rotationally analyzed. Pure rotational transitions in the ground state of 194PtS, 195PtS, and 196PtS were recorded using the pump/probe microwave optical double-resonance technique. Spectroscopic constants for the ground and three low-lying excited vibronic states have been derived.
