Abstract

Superfluid Fermi gases were studied using Monte Carlo methods. Fermi gases with short-range two-body attractive interactions with infinite scattering length were studied. Monte Carlo calculations estimated the energy of such gases to be (0.44±0.01) times that of the non-interacting gas. The pairing gap for the gases was found to be approximately twice the value of the energy per particle.
