Abstract

XML represents a new way of organizing information and knowledge of the World Wide Web. With XML, the concept of "document" is broadened to include an encapsulation of model information in web-based system modeling and simulation. On the base of analyzing methods of Hybrid System Modeling, XML can be used to design model specification of Hybrid System on the Web: HMXL(Hybrid System Modeling extensible Language). Meanwhile, a typical Hybrid System (such as tank process control system) is modeled using HMXL.
