Abstract

A description about structures, energies, and spectra of aqua-silver (I) complexes was presented. The coordination chemistry of Ag+ ion was also discussed. The coordination number of Ag+(H2O) n was predicted to be 2 for n = 2-6 at the density functional theory level. The OH spectra for various possible structures was presented.
