Abstract

New glasses have been prepared in the xTlI-(1-x) AgPO₃ system. Conductility measurements and structural studies by IR spectroscopy show results comparable with those for xAgI-(1-x)AgPO₃ glasses. Ag⁺ ions surrounded by halide ions are mobile and provide the main contribution to the ionic conductivity in the glasses.
