Abstract

Image data from microscopic examinations need to be recorded and stored. It is the aim to find an existing software compatible with microscopy for adequate data representation, data storage compactness, and reasonable data transfer rate. Several software formats were considered, which are raw binary files, PICT, GIF, FITS, TIFF and HDF.
