Stability of some population models with delay

Abstract

The stability of equilibrium of some single-species and predator-prey population models with delay and constant-rate harvesting is studied. It is suggested that the qualitative behavior of the one- and the two-dimensional model may be quite different from each other, and also that the two models may react quite differently to harvesting.
