N2 - The BLAST det.ector is presently under construction by an international collaboration of 11 institutions. A description of the det.ector and its present status are briefly presented. The initial scientific program calls for comprehensive measurements of the spin dependent electromagnet.ic response of the few body systems. The experiments are carried out with a recirculating, continuous polarized electron beam of up to 1 (GeV), polarized internal gas target.s and the large acceptance magnet.ic det.ector. As examples, projected results in the accessible Q2-range are presented for the charge form factor of the neutron GE n and the T20 observable from elastic scattering off tensor polarized deuterium.
