Sensation-seeking and anxiety as factors in social drinking by men

Abstract

Subjects with high sensation-seeking needs consumed more alcohol than those with low sensation-seeking needs (accounting for only a very small percentage of the variance), regardless of whether they expected a party afterwards. There was no relationship between anxiety level and drinking behavior.
