Abstract
This article presents an analysis of a slit in an infinite perfectly conducting ground plane backed by a 2-D cavity. The cavity is inhomogeneously filled with a plasma. A full-wave frequency domain model is used wherein the finite element method is coupled with the spectral domain method of moments. The effects of various plasma parameters on the echo width of the structure are examined.
