Abstract

The causes of poor health among ethnic minorities in the United States have been receiving increased attention. The health status and health outcomes of many ethnic minorities have remained poor, or have deteriorated, despite massive health promotion campaigns. It is now time to stop, reassess, and determine which individual, community, and societal interventions will most effectively improve the health of these high-risk minorities.
