Abstract

This paper examines the potential of webcam images as sources of tourism-related data. A qualitative analysis was conducted on some 300 webcam images, resulting in the development of three typologies, or categories, of information: context, type of data, and limitations and weaknesses of obtaining certain types of data from webcam images.
