Reflection of guided modes in a semiconductor nanowire laser

Abstract

A study was performed on reflection of guided modes in a semiconductor nanowire laser. The waveguiding properties of semiconductor single nanowire lasers were also analyzed. It was found that the reflectivity depended strongly on the mode type, radius of the nanowire and the lasing frequency.
