Abstract

A novel radar cross section (RCS)-reduction technique, which unifies the concepts of checkerboard metasurfaces (CMS) and gradient index metasurfaces (GIMS), is presented. More importantly, it refines the concepts of both of these meta-surfaces as well as overcomes numerous limitations associated with them. A sample metasurface is fabricated and measured.
