Abstract

The device speeds up the process to acquire and read hard copy printed materials for a user who is blind. The materal is read face up - which is different from the common practice of flat bed scanning devices. Further development into natural interface issues and study processes will increase the usefulness of the device as not only a reading device but a batch capture device and a study device.
