Abstract

Polarized Brillouin and low frequency (3 cm-1 ≤ ω ≤ 40 cm-1) Raman spectra of GeS2 glass have been measured. Parameters determined from the Brillouin spectra have been used in the theory of Martin and Brenig to obtain from a fit of the Raman spectrum the structural correlation range, 2σ. We find 2σ = 8 ± 1 Å.
