Probing neutrino properties with supernovae

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

I review the effects of flavor conversion of neutrinos from stellar collapse due to masses and mixing, and discuss the motivations for their study. I consider the sensitivity of a supernova neutrino signal to the 13-mixing and to the type of mass hierarchy/ordering formula. In particular, I illustrate the possibility to get model-independent information from regeneration effects on Ve and formula in the matter of the Earth.
