Abstract

The present invention describes a novel hollow nano/micro structures with superparamagnetic, highly photoluminescent properties for containing liquid-based dugs, which can be used in disease diagnostics, drug delivery and disease therapy. This novel structure claimed in this invention includes three components: hollow core/shell structure as drug host can be made of inorganic materials, organic materials, or polymeric materials. Superparamagnetic matierials can be metals, metal oxides, or alloy metals. Highly photoluminescent materials can be semiconducting quantum dots, or organic fluorophore
