Predicting TCM responses with urban travel-demand models

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaperpeer-review

Abstract

In the ocassion of the Annual Meeting of the Transportation Board a paper discussing the deficiencies of travel-forecasting models with respect to the Clean Air Act of 1990 is presented. In the period of one year-and-a-half no remedies for the deficiencies were realized. The purpose of this paper then is to present a significant step forward, in two thrusts. The first thrust reviews what is needed in the prediction of responses of TCMs. The second one is broader for it does not only examine the areas in which travel-forecasting models are unlikely but also the potential modelling improvements. It is expected that the deficiencies will be remedied.
