Possible degeneracy of heavy quarks

Abstract

In an attempt to understand the behavior of the total cross-section in electron-positron annihilation, it is suggested that two types of heavy quarks might exist with masses split only by the weak interactions. Implications and tests of this suggestion are discussed.
